Luxury built to last

"Made to last a lifetime" has always been luxury's promise. Now regulation requires brands to prove it. This guide shows how high-end brands turn circularity into a measurable competitive advantage, using the four pillars of scientific circularity: durability, repairability, recyclability and global circularity.

THREE QUESTIONS EVERY BRAND SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANSWER

  1. 01

Can you prove how long your products last?

Durability is luxury's oldest promise and its least measured. Color fastness, pilling resistance, timeless design and modularity can all be scored.

  2. 02

Is repair a cost or a revenue stream?

Accessible seams, removable components and available spare parts do more than extend a product's life. They create new revenue lines and lower eco-fees under eco-modulation.

  3. 03

Would your recycled claims survive a fibre-level audit?

Good intentions aren't enough anymore. Complex blends, unverified recycled content and products that can't be recycled are becoming EPR costs and greenwashing risks.

“What isn't measured with scientific rigor cannot endure over time.”
